The Draft Resolution (Reg. No. 1406) envisages State celebration of a jubilee of V.O. Sukhomlynsky, a prominent scholar, a teacher-humanist.
Discussing the Draft Resolution, the People´s Deputies stated that the Committee is elaborating the Draft Resolution of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine regarding main anniversary dates to be celebrated in Year 2008. Adoption of the said Resolution will regulate celebration of anniversaries of cities, prominent persons and historic events.
The Draft Resolution also includes the issue regarding celebration of a jubilee of V.O. Sukhomlynsky.
The Committee appealed to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine with a motion to adopt governmental resolutions regarding celebration of the 90th anniversary of birth of V.Sukhomlynsky and several other anniversaries.
